Installation stucks at Step 2

Hallo,

as the headline says the installation of Dokeos 2.1.1 stucks at Steps 2, where I have to select the language for the installation. It's not a shared hosting server and no meesage appears. Does anybody know what to do? Thanks a lot!

(Maybe this is not the right forum, but I found no other one that fits.)

Hi,

Ok. I see. There is a NEXT button at the bottom of page 2. It does not go to page 3?

Can you send a screenshot + more details on hosting infrastructure : hosting company, type of contract, operating system, browser you use for this setup etc.?

Hi,

thanks for Your fast reply and Your help! You are right with the NEXT-button, it can't be overseen and does'nt lead to page 3. It simply stucks without any message.

A screenshot is included. Hosting company is provimedia.de. No shared hosting on a unix system, as far as I know. I tried to insatall it with various browsers, for instance Google Chrome, Firefox and IE. All the newest versions.

Installation issue

I have exactly the same problem, installation loops at the language choice, no way to go further.

Just the same problem for me... Stuck on page 2.

No hints for bypassing to the next step. Tryed a lot of other cms apps and no problem at all.

Me too

My installation stops at step 2. Dokeos is loaded on a hosted server. All privilges set according to installation guide.

  • Server software :Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8g PHP/4.4.9
  • PHP Version :5.2.17
  • Mysql Client Version :5.0.51
  • Safe mode :OFF
  • register_global :OFF

can you please try with our new Dokeos 2.2 beta release, many of the issues in upgrade and tools are fixed in this release. Kindly check the download in the following link

Same choice in dokeos 2.2

I have the same reult on installation of dokeos 2.2.

In Console web of firefox 12.0 i have this error:

$ is not defined on line 61 of mysite/main/install/index.php?running=1&installType=&updateFromConfigFile=

Two months without a solution? Better get back to the old LMS :(

I found solution, you need

I found solution, you need delete /main/inc/lib/.htaccess or edit it and add # before directive Options -Indexes

upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2. not solved

I corrected that .htaccess issue but my upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2. still gets stuck in the same step
