Mindmap your e-learning project

Mindmap your e-learning projectGetting the right analysis is not easy in e-learning. Many projects start with a wrong analysis, resulting in a bad design and useless multimedia developments.

  • Will you train on what you want?
  • Will you succeed evaluating learners competences?
  • Do you get a clear picture of the type of online activities that fit with your course content?
  • Is your interaction scenario realistic considering coaching resources available?
  • Is the project team eager to do the job?
  • How will you motivate learners?

Optimise your chances of success by finetuning the analysis process :

01 Brainstorm first to gather ideas together and decide where you want to go

Even if each individual does not have a clear picture of the goals, throwing ideas together using common brainstorming methods (six hats, e-learning square...) and asking everybody to propose at least something will help at both knowing what we want and build the team.

02 Then draw mindmaps to structure the project

Combine right brain and left brain assets through this popular method that leads from vision and intuition to rational organisation and clarify the project in terms of objectives and processes.

03 And switch from Mindmap to GANTT to organise resources

Once each branch of the mindmap is detailed in terms of actions, start deciding who does what and add dates so as to switch progressively from "what we want to do" to "how we are going to do it". And end up with a GANTT chart.
