this is a great tutorial!
Thank you.
One tiny challenge though that makes the whole thing unuseable: you have missed step 2B.
In which menu exactly is the ecommerce screen you refer to in step 3? Is this in Portal / Configuration settings?
Can't find it.

Dokeos 2.2 e-commerce
Hi,
I have v2.1.1 up and running - it looks like just what I need. one Problem - no e-commerce available.
I see here on this thread that v2.2 (with e-commerce solution) was scheduled for mid-Feb 2012 (almost 8 weeks ago. When will the Beta be availab e for testing????
There is a bit of a deadline for me and this seems to be a very nice solution... BUT... Can someone please advise of the status of ver 2.2 ... soon? It is frustrating to fnd the solution only to find that it is missing a component and information onprogress are just not available.
In the end I would be hoping to look at the Pro solution... but I need to be sure it is going places and the support will be there.
Many thanks
Ed

As for robstevens... your post - does this mean that we can host and integrate dokeos on this shopping platform? If so have you suceeded? Got a URL for us to look at?

Dokeos 2.2 e-commerce not working
Hi,
I have the same problem !
Somebody can help us?
Thanks !
Dokeos 2.2 E-commerce failure
I have asked and asked. I have waited and waited....
This product is a dead loss - or rather support of it is. Give up and move on.
If you offer a product (free or otherwise) the very least you can do is seem interested in those who want to use it, and their feedback. This lost are only interested in you taking out a full fee managed system.
Why do I want to take out a full fee version when I cant event test it out, and the staff seem totally, and I mean TOTALLY uninterested. Responses are promised, as are release updates... NEVER HAPPENS!!!
Best of luck in your search for something else.

Dokeos E-Learning
Hi there,
I wanted to know if you managed to make the e-commerce module work ?
When I try to add courses in my shopping basket, nothing is happening. Have you got an idea what can be wrong ?
Thank you very much for your help. It seems that the support team doesn't want to answer on this topic anymore...
David
Great tutorial, but couldn't make the e-commerce work...
It seems that I am not the only one who's got an issue on the e-commerce module.
When I try to add a course in my shopping basket, nothing is happening. Does anyone has an idea on how to solve this ?
Thanks in advance,
David
Wrong path...
It seems that the problem comes from a wrong path in the php code.
I am not familiar with php, but as I wanted to try it with the chrome debugging tools, I saw this error message: GET http://127.0.0.1/main/core/controller/shopping_cart/shopping_cart_controller.php?code=T001&type=course&action=addItem 404 (Not Found)
I tried to change to the correct URL in my case I had to add dokeos before /main... and I could add something in the cart. I am going to try some more debugging. It is just anoying as it would take you 5 minutes to correct it and days for me...
Well, hope this mail dosen't go to null...

Shopping cart issue
I have found that the path is wrong. I could make this work by adding a symbolic link of the main forlder on the root of the website.
With this, I can add courses in my shopping cart.
Unfortunately it seems that it is not the only problem. When I tried to click on checkout I get this error:
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
I will not be able to go further with this issue... Hopefully someone with the knowledge will continue this job as dokeos is just not usable for me without this function.
News on the shopping cart issue
Well... After having some trouble with my site, I have bought another domain name and I have installed dokeos at the root of the server. This makes the shopping cart work.
I got then other issues. I had to change a couple of lines on three files..
1. main/payment/checkout.php:
I have commented the line 40 which is:
echo $objShoppingCartController->getBreadCrumbs(&$_SESSION, &$_GET) ;?>
2. main/payment/checkout_2_registration.php:
I have commented the line 55 which is:
<?php //echo $objShoppingCartController->getBreadCrumbs(&$_SESSION, &$_GET); ?>
3. main/payment/checkout_3_registration.php
I have commented the line 35 which is:
<?php //echo $objShoppingCartController->getBreadCrumbs(&$_SESSION, &$_GET); ?>
After all this, I could add courses to my shopping cart, enter my personal data, and enter my credit card details. Unformtunately I couldn't get any further. When I enter all the information, with the confirmed API set in my configuration, I get the following error message:
There Was A Payment Process Problem
Security header is not valid
Help would be really appreciated. Or even just an answer saying that you will not work on this and that I should find another solution... But something, to make sure I am not talking to a wall...
Thanks in advance,
David

New from the cart problem ?
Good afternoon,
Any news from the development team ?
Could you just give us an update on this issue ? Is anybody working on it or is it an option unavailable in the free version ? Do you think I new version of dokeos will come out soon ? or at least a correction of the shopping cart ? Or should we try to find an alternative ?
Thanks to answer.
