Other things of importance for Dokeos 1.6
- add the new databases to the install procedure: http://www.dokeos.com/wiki/index.php/Database_changes_Dokeos_1.6
- create sql files of the main database, course database, tracking database so a manual install can be done (maybe even use these when creating a new course). (See also http://www.dokeos.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2506 , but this is limited to MySQL 4.1 so we probably do not want this method)
- more considerations for Upgrade Dokeos 1.5.x to Dokeos 1.6
- Critical bugs for Dokeos 1.6
Roadmap items rescheduled to 1.6.x or 1.7
- Proposal: if implementation is solid, add navigation left menu in 1.6.1
- Proposal: release a 1.6.x when we think everything works without register globals (this process is not completed yet, we do not have time to test everything well enough to guarantee the stability of the 1.6.0 release if we don't include the fake code).
- Documents tool: actions on multiple files at once. This will not make it into 1.6, but can be put into 1.6.1
- LDAP clean interface.
- Full reports on tests. Full reports on students. The path of John Doe in all his courses
- Assignments : more than one or replace assignments by dropbox
- Improved tracking of tests
- Math Gif rendering: change api_parse_tex so that a javascript checks if the techexplorer plugin is installed or not. If it is installed -> use it, if not -> gif rendering + caching. ( Patrick Cool)
- CSS style switcher: allow the user to choose a different stylesheet through his profile. (Patrick Cool) , ready, not yet in CVS
