Lean manufacturing is a theory for rationalising production, and is widely used by the automotive industry.

This white paper, written by Dokeos CEO Thomas De Praetere in collaboration with Marc Cetlin and Marjorie Wouters, proposes relevant training scenarios, for example on optimising space in a unit of production by limiting waste.

A practical course for learning about lean manufacturing

Borne from the collaboration between Mecaplast and Dokeos, this paper revisits the methodology used for the project.
The professional training was designed to be:

  • Progressive
  • Operational
  • Evaluative

The online training aimed to actively engage participants to optimise their efficiency. Through participating in a series of specific activities, the participant could visualise their learning in a practical context, and adjust their behaviour to real situations accordingly.
